Bentley, the world's most sought-after luxury car brand, has launched a stunning special edition Bentayga Speed car inspired by the aeronautics system, in collaboration with Mulliner to produce this bespoke model for one of its customers.
Using premium content from the Mulliner Personalization Guide and a number of other bespoke items, the Bentayga Speed is an exciting special edition that exemplifies Mulliner standards of craftsmanship.
Dark metallic gray with subtle subtle green undertones creates a distinctive dark exterior, heightened by using Black Line specification and replacing all exterior lighting materials with a glossy black version inspired by comet dust trails racing across the night sky.
In addition to the Flame Orange accents added to the design specification in glossy carbon fiber that add a bright contrast, this combination provides a unique backdrop to the interior's bespoke interior design.
The elaborately crafted cabin features the first individual feature that appears when the doors are opened, the illuminated sill pedals depicting the planets orbiting the solar system.
Eyes will be quickly drawn to the orange edges around the dashboard-mounted Galaxy Stone facades and mirrored on the door waist. The bright, glossy surfaces contrast with the tactile dark gray to give a feeling of silver, and the interior is decorated in Beluga and Porpoise providing a sky-dark background.
Square space, space, space, space, space, creative environment.
The Bentayga Speed takes its extraordinary capabilities to new levels, with “rocket-like” performance powered by a twin-turbocharged 6-liter W12 engine that delivers a maximum output of 635 hp (626 hp). Effortless acceleration is always ensured thanks to a torque of 900 Nm.
With exceptional performance, comfort and control, the top speed is reached (306 km/h), while acceleration from 0 to 100 km is done in 3.9 seconds.
To use this power with ease, the Bentayga Speed is equipped with four dynamic on-road driving modes, combining comfort and driving pleasure on the one hand, and sport performance on the other, along with a custom mode for customers who choose to create their own driveline.
Uniquely, Sport mode has been calibrated to improve responsiveness from the W12 engine and eight-speed automatic transmission, with air suspension and Bentley Dynamic Ride, to deliver a powerful effect via a more dynamic and attractive engine.
The Bentley Dynamic Ride is the world's first electrically active rollover control technology to use an unrivaled 48V system. This system instantly counteracts lateral rolling forces when cornering and ensures maximum tire contact to provide class-leading cabin stability, ride comfort and exceptional handling.
And the recalibration of the Bentley's torque vectoring via the brake system - where the car gently brakes the inner rear wheel at the inlet corner to further sharpen the front axle rotation - has made the Bentayga Speed even more responsive to driving.
The optional carbon ceramic brakes are the largest and most powerful Bentley brakes available, with a maximum braking torque of 6000Nm and designed to withstand temperatures up to 1,000°C, and they offer a weight savings of more than 20kg over iron brakes.
It is noteworthy that he launched the first generation of the Bentayga in 2016 with delivery to customers shortly after. Since then, the Bentayga has targeted the luxury SUV segment. Bentley introduced three additional engines, and in 2020 the second generation was revealed.
By 2022, approximately 28,500 Bentayga models had been produced. The Mulliner division has already completed 100 unique Bentley design orders for 2022, which is double the order compared to the previous year. The pace of growth picked up at the beginning of 2022, with continued demand for individual Bentley cars.
The Bentayga remains Bentley's best-selling model, and it topped the luxury SUV segment just as the Continental GT did when it was launched in 2004.
