BMW announced the acquisition of Alpina, which is famous for its modified versions of BMW models, and the company did not disclose the financial details of the deal.
As part of the deal, Alpina will continue to build modified versions of BMW's cars until the end of 2025, and the two companies have not said what will happen to Alpina after that date.
Alpina will also continue its comprehensive renovation of its exquisite classic cars, offering classic car parts, accessories and various maintenance services.
Founded in 1965, Alpina has focused most of its efforts since its inception on customizing BMW cars and offering luxury special editions, and Alpina sold more than 2,000 cars in 2021, the highest sales in the brand's history, which encouraged BMW to close the deal.
