Renault celebrates the 50th anniversary of its "Renault 5" icon and presents the electric Prototype

Renault is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Renault 5 at the 2022 Retromobile Motor Show, a defining icon in the history of the brand as this model left its mark on the French brand for decades. The Renault stand at the show is entirely dedicated to honoring the legendary Renault 5 icon.

The 820-square-meter pavilion is home to nearly a dozen historic Renault 5 models for visitors to explore, and several original models, selected from the Renault Classic collection, take visitors on a journey through the history of the iconic Renault 5, from the 1972 “L” model. to 1990.

Motorsport has always been part of Renault's history, with its sporty and racing models taking design to the level of a legendary icon, with a selection of legendary models on display at the show.

The astonishing display will stimulate the dialogue between the past and the future, in an arena that brings together Renault 5 Prototype electric models and Renault 5 Edition 1974 head to head.
