The team at Apocalypse took a new Ford Bronco and converted it into a fully functional six-wheel drive vehicle, giving it the name The Dark Horse. The SUV, which was 189 inches long, has now grown to 225 inches from front to rear. It is fitted with a set of 20-inch SFJ wheels wrapped in 37-inch chunky Patagonia tires, while the upgraded suspension gives a 4-inch ride height.
The company is no stranger to creating extreme off-road vehicles. Previously, it unveiled the Apocalypse Hellfire, a six-wheeled vehicle based on the Jeep Gladiator. However, the Bronco is separated from its less advanced siblings with a coilover suspension that offers superior comfort
The car was equipped with a 2.7-liter turbocharged V6 with 400 hp, a jump from the original engine's 310 hp.
Power can be sent to all six wheels when automatic mode is activated. It features an onboard computer that determines when a front axle is needed. The rear four wheels are always turned on.
Up front, the Ford Bronco 6×6 features a new bumper with a center light strip and stacked lights on each side. A full-size spare wheel is also installed on the tailgate, and it has some massive tow hooks.
Inside, it gets dark brown Navy-grade leather on the seats and door cards. It is set to be auctioned off at the upcoming Barrett-Jackson Auction in Florida, on Saturday, April 9th.
