AddArmor has revealed its latest innovation: the new fully armored Aston Martin Vantage. The sport coupe's B4 level of protection can stop .44, 357 and 9mm Parabellum Magnum bullets. The car features bullet-resistant glass, both front windshield and door windows. Protection also comes from reinforced, explosion-proof steel that protects the roof and fuel tank.
Don't even think about trying to open the door to try and pull someone out of this car because AddArmor adds an electric shock function to the door handles. For an optimal escape in bad situations, the company adds Run Flat tires that run without air. The company also revised and modified the suspension to compensate for the extra weight from all the protective gear.
From the outside, you can see the grille covering the exhaust ports, but that's something not many people will notice when this car is on the road.
Likewise, the cabin is just as luxurious as you'd expect from a Vantage. Looking at the doors, you can easily tell how thick the glass is. Also, there is now a button to activate the electric shock in the door handles.
The standard version of the latest Vantage model produces 503 hp and 685 Nm from the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8. The only gearbox option is an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Factory specifications say it reaches 96 kilometers per hour in 3.6 seconds. The extra weight of the modified version of AddArmor due to armor and other modifications will likely result in a slower time.
The Vantage F1 Edition is a new addition to the Aston Martin portfolio. The engine is the same, but power increases to 528 hp while torque remains unchanged at 505 lb-ft. The company also offers a limited range V12 with 690 horsepower.
