The number of Tesla Model 3 competitors is growing rapidly with many Chinese electric car makers aggressively entering this promising sector, to the exclusion of the American giant. The Nezha S, the Chinese brand's latest model for all-electric cars (Nezha), is a very attractive electric sedan that was revealed in production after the introduction of the 2020 Eureka 03 concept, and a pre-production model from 2021.Like many other new models, the Nezha S was supposed to debut at the Beijing Auto Show, which was postponed due to the epidemic, so the manufacturer brought it online.
“Nazha or Nita” is a fairly new brand founded in 2018 by Hozon Auto, which introduced two SUVs called the U and the V, and the S-Class is the latest addition to its electric car lineup.
The sleek front end design follows the split lamp trend, with ultra-thin headlight units, sleek air intakes, curved fenders, and a sleek side profile design that makes the Nezha S the most attractive. While at the rear, full-width LED taillights come with an integrated spoiler, diffuser and a sloping roofline to complement the aerodynamic look.Dimensionally, the car is 188.9 inches long, 78.4 inches wide and 55.1 inches high, with a large wheelbase of 114.2 inches. The Chinese electric car excels in terms of dimensions, as it is slightly larger than the Tesla Model 3, and strongly competes with the BMW i3, New ET, BYD Cel, and Xping X7 classes.Inside, the highlight is the large, vertically-designed infotainment touchscreen combined with a minimal digital instrument cluster, a head-up display, and an additional touchscreen display in front of the passenger.
There's also an impressive 1216-watt sound system with 21 speakers including ceiling and headrest-mounted speakers, plus heated, ventilated and massage seats.
The cabin design incorporates premium-looking materials such as Alcantara, leather, wood and metal, which dramatically accentuate the ambient lighting.
The Nezha S sedan is the first of many models based on the new Chinese platform "Shanhai", which supports both the all-electric variants of BEV and EREV range extenders.
The company has yet to announce detailed specifications, but it expects an electric range of 710 km (441 miles) for the electric model and up to 1,100 km (684 miles) for the higher-end range extender.
With a low power consumption of 12 kW / 100 km, thanks to the Huzon EPT4.0 battery temperature management system developed with the help of Chinese technology giant Huawei, and its 92 percent efficient electric motors.
The platform supports “Nazha S” with high standards in terms of technology, as the latest luxury electric sedan of the Chinese brand is equipped with 4 level of autonomy through 13 cameras, 12 ultrasonic sensors, millimeter wave radars, and two lidars.
Keep in mind that Mercedes was the first automaker to offer a Level 3 production car (S-Class) starting in 2022, so reaching Level 4 is a huge development, propelling the brand to the top.
